Daily Worship Services at Our Preaching Center

As The Better Kirtan, Inc. builds our temple in West Virginia, we maintain daily worship at our Arlington, VA location [the main preaching center]. Hours are below except for Saturday and Sunday, when daily worship schedules are subject to change to maintain the preaching mission with limited staff.

Daily Weekday Worship Schedule

Monday – Friday:

0445 – 0800: Hare Krishna Japa

0800 – 0805: Gayatri Mantra [for Brahmana Initiated Devotees]

0800 – 0815: Mangala Aarti

0815 – 0825: Guru Puja

0825 – 0830: Nrsimha Puja

0830 – 0855: Tulasi Puja

0900 – 0920: Altar closed to public for cleanup, refilling of the Lord’s water cups

0920 – 1000: Bogha Preparation and Offering [Srimad Bhagavatam reading]

1000 – 1010: Prasadam collection, transfer, cleanup, and altar closing

*Notes:

Guru puja flowers are limited to initiated disciples of HDG Srila Prabhupada as permitted by TBK Officers.
Due to limited availability of incense, Tulasi Puja and/or Guru Puja may be verbal only.
Srimad Bhagavatam reading occurs during the 15 minute offering and is compulsory for all devotees, regardless of initiation status.
Only TBK Officers, or those designated by them, can perform worship services for the Deities. No one else is permitted, regardless of claimed status.
Only Sanyasa issued by HDG Srila Prabhupada before His Order to stop sanyasa (January 1977) is honored. Any so-called “sanyasa initiations” afterwards are considered apparadha, apasiddhanta, and apostate.
Because the temple/preaching center in Arlington, VA is also living quarters for some TBK devotees, attendees are not permitted outside the main temple area (the “living room”) at any time, with the exception of the guest bathroom and main hallway through the front door.

Special days (e.g. Ekadashi, Sri Gaura Purnima, Sri Krsna Janmasthami, lord Srila Prabhupada’s Vyasa Puja/Appearance Day) are planned and celebrated on a case-by-case basis, and are not published on this website due to the limited time the head Priest has to manage the Preaching Center as well.
