In a Letter from His Divine Grace to Srutadev Prabhu, HDG explains that Book Distribution [the Original Books, not the trash being distributed today] is the Better Kirtan.

Book Distribution is the very heart of the Krsna Consciousness Movement, for the Books are Themselves His Divine Grace A. C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Srila Prabhupada.

His Divine Grace’s Original Letter is below:

We are initiated disciples of His Divine Grace Abhay Charanaravinda Bhaktivedanta Swami Srila Prabhupada, the Founder-Acarya of the International Society for Krishna Consciousness.

Our teachings are predicated on His Divine Grace’s:

• 80 Volumes of Original, pre-1978 Books (1st Edition where available)
• Lectures
• Letters
• Room Conversations
• Morning Walks
• Select Memories from devotees

We strictly adhere and obey the key criteria for association with the Krishna Consciousness Movement religion:

• Chant 16 Rounds of Hare Krishna Mahamantra daily (1,728 Mantras daily), minimum
• No Meat, Fish, or Eggs
• No Illicit Sex
• No Gambling
• No Intoxicants (including no caffeine, chai/tea, coffee, chocolate, onion, garlic, mushrooms, yeast, etc.)
  • We only honor Sri Krsna Prasadam – Food offered to our Dearest Lord Sri Krsna’s pleasure per His Instructions in Bhagavada-gita As It Is, Chapter 9, Verse 26.
